Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)

NSW subclass 190 Updates: The last couple of years have been really devastating for many and as everyone is emerging from the after effects of COVID, there has been a blow to many candidates who have been living in New South Wales for years and many who moved-in to NSW with a hope of securing a permanent visa.

The eligibility requirements were seen to be eased by NSW government in recent months and this is the reason that many moved into the state with the hopes for getting a 190 invitation from NSW. But there been a huge change in the eligibility requirements recently, and many of these have been introduced to attract skilled migrants from overseas as the country opens to the world.

While on the one side, it seems great that the country is opening to the offshore applicants, however it seems to have shattered the dreams of many who have been residing in NSW for years.

These major changes include : Introduction of a minimum three years of skilled work experience requirement and occupations that are open to offshore candidates. These changes have been highlighted on the NSW government’s website and a key point to note here is that, the experience requirement is not compulsory for all the occupations.
